Reading Pride is run entirely by volunteers and cannot happen without the commitment made by a group of dedicated individuals.
Getting involved with the planning of Reading Pride cannot be simpler. If you enjoyed our festival why not volunteer and find out if there is a role that suits you. Each year as we continue to grow we need the time and dedication of our members and volunteers to make Reading Pride happen. This year we have introduced a new roles structure so that we can find the perfect role for you to fit your lifestyle and/or job. There is not a role too big or too small so why not help out? This could be the most rewarding project you will ever be involved with.
Reading Pride is more than just an annual festival. We are here throughout the year to represent LGBT community and promote the services available to the public and aid in awareness of LGBT rights where even today LGBT people in the Thames Valley are still getting discriminated against.
Do you have a flare for marketing, media and promotions? Or excel in advertising and sales (or have the gift of the gab)? Or perhaps something more low key such as administration or funding and grants? We have many roles available for you to apply for the list goes on!
The committee are comprised of many different roles (see below). Some of these may already be filled by existing committee members; however many of these are suitable for two or more people to work together.
