Terms & Conditions
By submitting this online membership application form to Reading Pride shall constitute that the applicant (You) understand and accept the following as terms and conditions of your membership, and agree to adhere to these conditions.
1. Membership Payments
All membership payments are treated as donations to Reading Pride.
2. Type of Membership
We currently operate 3 types of membership. These are:
1. Standard Membership – Valid for one term.
2. Lifetime Membership – Valid indefinitely.
3. Youth Membership – Valid for one term, under 18s only
3. Voting Rights
All active members over the age of 18 are entitled to register a vote in any decisions open to voting. Additionally, all active members over the age of 18 are entitled to vote to elect members of the Board of Trustees.
4. Membership Term
To ensure that we operate a fair and equal service, Reading Pride's annual membership term runs from November 1st to October 31st each year. Regardless of your joining date, your membership will expire on October 31st
5. Membership Expiry
At the end of the term outlined above your Membership will be deemed expired and all rights to the benefits of being a member of the organisation shall be forfeited immediately upon this expire date.
6. Discounts and Preferential Rates
All discounts and Preferential Rates offered to members of the organisation are given at the discretion of Reading Pride and its partners. No Discount or Rate shall be deemed as legally binding, and may be withdrawn at any time.
7. Gift Aid
In order to allow us to claim Gift Aid on your donations, you must pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax that is at least equal to the amount of tax that Reading Pride will reclaim on your donation.
8. Data Usage and Protection
The information you provide to Reading Pride will be used solely for the purpose to which it is requested. We may pass selected details that you provide to our partners in order to administer and maintain discount scheme requirements. We will not disclose or sell your information to third parties for marketing or telesales purposes.
9. Statutory Rights + Governance
No term in this document will affect your statutory rights. Any agreement between you and Reading Pride is to be governed solely by the Law in the United Kingdom.
10. Refunds of your Payments
Reading Pride is unable to provide refunds on your payments and/or donations.
11. Changes to Agreement
Reading Pride may change or alter these terms and conditions at any time. We will endeavour to give 30 days’ notice of any change to these terms by email. You will then have 14 days to notify us of your wish to terminate your membership should you not agree with the changes.
