Reading Pride are delighted to announce that we will be boogying the night away, live, with dance duo BOOTY LUV, our headline act for 2011 on the 3rd September, Kings Meadow, Reading.
The duo first shot to fame as part of Big Brovaz in 2002 and in 2006 Cherise and Nadia branched off to create Booty Luv via Hed Kandi with their #2 chart single "Boogie 2nite" which peaked the Top 10 Charts for 8 weeks. Their next single "Shine" did not disappoint and "Don't Mess with my Man" became 2007's summer anthem. Their latest track "Some Kinda Rush" is already a hit and not to be missed.
Joining our headline act this year will be boy band Eli Prime (formerly Injustice), whose fusion of electro clubs beats and commercial pop written by the boys themselves promise to get you excited for Pride's festivities.
To drum up more excitement our hosts Sandra, Wilma Fingadoo, Lola Lasagne and Chris Kenna will be guiding you through our acts during the day with their sharp tongued wit and entertainments. We will also be joined by local acts Mark Madison as well as Nicolette Street, who will be performing our anti-bullying charity single "Sticks & Stones" for the first time! The CD aims to reach out to those affected by bullying, to empower us to make change and say "no" to discrimination. You can download the song from iTunes, Amazon and Napster and it will be available on the day – all profits go to supporting anti-bullying in the Thames Valley community.
Reading Pride also can't wait to see performances by Alexis Houston and the highly sought after Drag With No Name who never fail to entertain. Please Click Here for more details about our acts this year.
Are you excited? We certainly are. Reading Pride will be taking place on the 3rd September in Kings Meadow Reading. For more information please visit our website, follow us on Twitter @Reading_Pride or "Like" our Facebook page ReadingPrideUK.
