Food & Soft-Drink Trader
We're no longer holding a Love Unites festival hosted by Reading Pride, in its normal form in Kings Meadow, on Saturday, 5th September 2020.
We understand that this is very disappointing, but the safety of our attendees and volunteers is our primary concern. Running a large festival and implementing social distancing measures in an open space was not considered safe nor feasible.
Reading Pride has grown to one of the largest Pride events in the region attracting over 15,000 people over the course of the day and 2,500 participants in our parade. Reading Pride is run by dedicated volunteers and it is our passion that makes it such a fantastic event.
If you'd like to become a food trader for future events, we'll need:
- A summary of your history and experience of similar events
- Relevant qualifications, certificates and licensing
- Details of any exclusivity requirements
- Any specific requests/other relevant information
- Materials to be used for serving food/drinks
We ask all traders to be as environmentally aware as possible. This means, wherever possible, using combustible, bio-degradable or recyclable cutlery and serving containers, paper bags, cans of drink, etc. Please note that glassware/glass bottles cannot be served to the public on the day at the festival. Any food containing allergens must be clearly marked.
We look forward to hopefully being back in September 2021, bigger and better than ever. If you'd like to keep informed about our plans for the marketplace please sign up for our newsletter.
